In order to contribute to the conservation of the environment and in the framework of the world water day, the Air Combat Command N. 6, CACOM-6, in Solano, Caquetá, accompanied by of the National Army, the Navy of Colombia and the National Natural Park Serranía de Chiribiquete, made a revegetation activity in specific areas of this municipality.
Men and women of the Colombian Air Force arrived in the municipality Solano, with the initiative of providing knowledge and new habits about the care of the environment, in this way, thanks to the support of the Municipal Mayor's Office of Solano, Caquetá, and the Campo Elías Marulanda School, educational talks were provided about the importance of the conservation of environmental resources in the department.
In turn, more than 300 people, including civilians, military, children, and youth of the school, reported to sow on the football soccer field, 600 seedlings of plants native to the region which will serve to beautify the place, as well as to contribute in the natural areas of the municipality of Solano, which is close to the Rio Orteguaza and surrounded by nature.
With these acts, the Colombian Air Force demonstrates its environmental commitment with the country's natural resources, contributing to mitigate environmental impacts, creating habits of responsibility over the environmental area in this zone of the country, which is hit by illegal mining and deforestation.
