Thanks to the implementation of the logistic routes that are carried out of the Marco Fidel Su谩rez Air Base, through the Air Combat Command No.7-CACOM-7, in Cali, due to the blockades on different roads in the southwestern part of the country, missions continue to be carried out to transport vaccines against COVID-19 by air, as well as medical supplies from hospitals, in Colombian Air Force aircraft, with the purpose of maintaining the established immunization schedule for the inhabitants of municipalities in Valle del Cauca.
During the last days, a Black Hawk UH-60L helicopter has carried out the transfer of 35,230 doses of this biological element, to the municipalities of the north of the Valle, such as Tulu谩, Buga and Zarzal, where they will be distributed in turn, by the health institutions to other sectors of the department, to ensure the continuity of the phases, with vaccination activities.
Since the last month of May, a total of 158,184 vaccines have been transported from Cali to municipalities such as: Andalucia, Calima, San Pedro, Caicedonia, Zarzal, Tulu谩, Buga, La Uni贸n, Roldanillo, Bol铆var Versailles, El Dovio, La victoria and Seville, in support of the National Vaccination Plan carried out by the Ministry of Health and the Departmental Health Secretariat of Valle.
The Colombian Air Force will continue to maintain the connectivity of the territories, to provide support for these and other situations that may arise, carrying out this type of missions, in total commitment, always being at the service of the Colombian people.
