In the frame of the control plans, the Colombian Air Force through the Military Transportation Air Command, CATAM, continues to carry out surveillance overflights over the capital city of the country, since last Thursday, the day the National strike began, in order to provide security to citizens.
Huey and Bell 212 helicopters carry out these air patrols throughout the city, supporting the troops of the Army and the National Police on the ground; these missions have been carried out day and night with highly prepared crews ready for any reaction.
In addition, ground personnel of the Air Base Security and Defense Group increased patrols and checkpoints, in order to provide tranquility to the community.
