The anniversary 105 of the Colombian Air Force is coming, with hundreds of reasons to celebrate alongside those who are part of the mission, that is why the Air Combat Command No. 5, CACOM 5, carried out a successful outreach activity in one of the most emblematic places in the department of Antioquia: La Piedra del Pe帽ol.
This activity was carried out with the aim of strengthening the relationship between the Institution and the inhabitants of the region, generating a space for rapprochement and interaction with the members of the Colombian Air Force, FAC, so that passers-by could not only know the resources that the Colombian Air Force has but, in the same way, that it is at the service of all the inhabitants and is willing to contribute to the purposes of the State.
The stand arranged for this event received more than 200 visitors, who had the opportunity to learn about the military and logistical operations resources of the Air Combat Command No. 5, used in different search and rescue missions, support in natural disasters and operations against criminal groups that hit the security of or country. The active participation of the people highlighted the importance of knowing and valuing the work carried out by the Colombian Air Force for the national wellbeing.
As part of the visit to this emblematic tourist site, visitors had the opportunity to express their gratitude through the letters of the Courier of Gratitude, sending touching messages to the soldiers of land, sea and air. These letters reflect the recognition and admiration for the valuable work they do daily for the security of all Colombians. Every written word is a testimony of the support and unity of the citizens with those who defend and protect the nation, highlighting the importance of their operation in maintaining peace and stability in the country.
