The Colombian Air Force will participate for the third time in the International Exercise 'Red Flag', the most important air combat training in the world that takes place at the Nellis Air Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, organized by the United States Air Force with the participation of their allied countries.
This invitation is made exclusively to the air forces of the world that comply with strict parameters of interoperability in air superiority aviation, high performance in combat and real adequacy in air military operations. For this reason, from March 6 to 23, 2019 the Colombian Air Force will participate again with the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia, Holland, Singapore and the United States.
Being autonomous in combined air operations, this year the Colombian Air Force will participate with the Tanker KC 767 'Jupiter', an aircraft of great capabilities and differential characteristics that make its presence in this international exercise an element of strategic importance, conducting refueling missions in flight to fighters to extend their range and autonomy.
The regional leadership and the skills of its crews in real and complex war theaters are fundamental aspects that help the Colombian Air Force to position itself as a regional reference, an aspect that was evidenced in 2012 and 2018, when it in the same way participated with the Kfir air superiority squadron, demonstrating its interoperability capabilities under NATO standards.
In this way, the crews and technical team of the powerful KC 767 'Jupiter', prepare to put the name of Colombia on high and at the same time celebrate 100 years of Colombian Air Force serving the country with, honor, courage, security and commitment ... thus one goes to the stars!
