During his geostrategic visit to Colombia, the Commander of the Twelfth U.S. Air Force, Major General Barry R. Cornish, accompanied by the Commander of the Colombian Air Force, General Ramses Rueda, came to the department of Antioquia, with the objective of knowing a little more about the capabilities and the important mission that the Institution conducts in the region.
Major General Barry R. Cornish shared with the crews of the aircraft Caravan and the helicopters Arp铆a and Halc贸n, to get information about their operation and equipment used for missions to defend the sovereignty, extinguish fires, as well as installed items on the aircraft for search and rescue of those in danger.
This geostrategic visit strengthens the ties of cooperation conducted by the two nations, demonstrating the capabilities that the Colombian Air Force has to execute operations in a combined way, with trained teams and crews.
In this way, the air institution has men and women willing to serve and defend the nation, ready to fly, train and fight to win, thus strengthening interoperability.
