These naval training activities reinforce the interoperability resources of the Navies, in favor of the protection of common maritime interests.
Units of the Colombian Navy and the French National Navy conducted training exercises at sea, in order to increase interoperability and promote good relations for maritime and hemispheric security.
The exercises, which are being carried out once the French Navy's Germinal Coastal Surveillance Light Frigate finished its logistical stop in the heroic city, met the activity of the ARC Antioquia Frigate and three Colombian Navy aircraft, which put their resources to the test.
With communications exercises, tactical maneuvers exercises and naval operations, the sailors of the two countries train, contact and cooperate within the framework of military activities, through the standardization of procedures established by NATO, which leads to a high level of interoperability between afloat and air units, for the contribution of the construction of timely responses to security and defense challenges.
The realization of these exercises represents an opportunity to increase the levels of training and updating in real environments, strengthening cooperation and the exchange of resources that leads to increasing interoperability and strengthening the bonds of partnership and cooperation in pursuit of peace, security, freedom of navigation, defense and protection of common maritime interests.
In the frame of the technological and military operation challenges faced by different countries, the Colombian Navy will continue to carry out multinational exercises, within the framework of the cooperation agreements signed by National Government, through which the navies of the world strengthen their resources to face and overcome common challenges aimed at the security and defense of the nation.
