Through a joint operation and inter-agency against the drug trafficking in the pacific coast of Nariño, the National Army, the Navy of Colombia, the Colombian Air Force and the Technical Body of Research –CTI, report the finding and neutralization of a complex with a capacity of production up to four tons of cocaine hydrochloride, in Tumaco, Nariño.
This laboratory had five structures and was found in the rural area of Tablón Dulce, near the Mejicano River, in charge of the Alfonso Cano Western Bloc of the residual Organized Armed Group.
Inside the place, 3,750 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and 260 kilograms of coca paste base, 2,236 gallons of liquid precursors and 200 kilograms of solid precursors were found by troops, in addition to equipment and machinery for the production of the narcotic.
The controlled deactivation of this logistics complex complements the operations carried out by the military Forces throughout the Colombian southwest, thus weakening the logistics capacity and other illicit activities of these criminal groups, responsible for violent operations in this region of the country.
