Narcotics, supplies and other elements for the production of the hallucinogen were found by troops at the point.
Soldiers of the National Army in coordination with the National Police, obtained the finding and neutralization of a cocaine laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, in the village Quebrada La Honda, of the municipality of El Carmen, Norte de Santander.
This illegal complex generated a monthly production of approximately 800 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, costing about 5 billion pesos, to allegedly favor the finances of the Camilo Torres front of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, which commits crimes in that region.
Within the six structures in wood that made up this complex, troops found 120 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 60 kilograms of coca base, 240 gallons of cocaine hydrochloride in solution, 1,790 gallons of liquid precursors, 125 kilograms of solid supplies, in addition to a distillation tower, a “worm” of 6 holes, a boiler, a press, a hydraulic jack, two gas cylinders, four ovens, microwave, five digital precision scales, among other elements necessary for the production of the drug and that would cost more than 2 billion pesos, about USD 458,210.
With this loss it was possible to deal a blunt blow to the economic arm of the GAO ELN that commits crimes in the sector.
