In the municipality of Villa del Rosario, Norte de Santander, the Colombian Air Force, the Army and the National Police, through a joint and coordinated operation, could find and destroy a laboratory used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, which belongs to the urban front Carlos Germ谩n Velazco Villamizar, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln.
As a result of this operation, 57 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride and 21.6 kilos of coca base paste were found by troops, as well as abundant chemical materials that were used for the elaboration and production of the narcotic, dealing a blow by COP 870,349,500.00 to this group.
This result shows the ongoing struggle against organized armed groups and the permanent damages they make to the environment, using chemical materials that alter the natural balance of the ecosystem.
