A minor who presented health complications, was transferred on the Providencia-San Andrés route, thanks to the work done and the timely reaction by medical personnel and military crew aboard the Cessna C208-B Caravan aircraft of the Caribbean Air Group.
On the afternoon of December 24, the aeromedical transfer of a 14-year-old patient was carried out. She presented different complications due to a base disease in the autoimmune system, and who in the morning of the day presented a convulsive episode at the Providencia hospital, this being a risk to her health if not treated on time.
Upon arrival in San Andrés, the patient was taken by ambulance to the Clarence Lynd Newball Memorial Departmental Hospital where she received the appropriate medical assistance and the necessary treatments to finally improve her health.
This is how the military medical personnel and the flight crews of the Colombian Air Force demonstrate their commitment and responsibility to the inhabitants of the island, by serving with all the resources and human talent to help the inhabitants of the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina.
