In an aeromedical transfer mission, a 25-year-old man who required immediate assistance that had to be provided at a higher level hospital, was taken from the island of Providencia to San Andrés.
The patient, who in previous days had been hit by a wound in his back, consulted the hospital of Providencia for having difficulty breathing and severe pain, however, despite the management, they decide to send him to the Clarence Lynd Newball Memorial Hospital to manage his ailments in a specialized way; in the same way, to receive surveillance after his treatment.
During the flight, the patient did not have any kind of difficulty that may put this air mission at risk. In addition, the medical staff and nurse of the Caribbean Air Group, constantly monitored his vital signs keeping them stable until his arrival in San Andrés being given to the ambulance service of the island.
