In the framework of the Military and Police Campaign “Atlas” and in compliance with the Bicentenary Plan “Heroes of Freedom" with information from Intelligence of the Colombian Navy, troops of the National Army, find a training area belonging to the residual GAO (organized armed group) Guerrillas Unidas del Pacífico, where three of its members were captured and troops found armament and ammunition of different calibers, in the municipality of Mosquera, in the department of Nariño.
The events were reported in the Guayabal village, when troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 2 with the support of aircraft of the Air Combat Command No. 7 of the Colombian Air Force, entered a camp area where 45 members of the United Guerrillas of the Pacific structure carried outed training. The military captured three individuals 19, 20 and 23, who had two rifles, a shotgun, three magazines and 407 cartridges of different calibers.
During the inspection of the area troops found des 283 kilograms in food, a boat with capacity for 12 people, a 75 hp engine, a water pump and an electricity generator. In the same way, an instructional area made of trenches and bedrooms was dismantled.
