In the village of Guayabal, in the municipality of Peque, in the department of Antioquia, alias 'Brujo', 'Boro' and 'El Paisita' were captured by judicial warrant. They are members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The joint operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the National Army in coordination with the Police and the Office of the Prosecutor, had the participation of UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters of the Air Combat Command No.5, which led to the reconnaissance for the precise arrival in the area where the alleged criminals were together; they are accused of the crime of aggravated conspiracy.
The Security forces maintain operations in this zone, giving important results that damage the armed capacity of this western substructure.
With the capture of these three individuals, a heavy blow is given to this GAO that commits crimes in the northwest of Antioquia. The Colombian Air Force reiterates the commitment of maintaining national sovereignty.
