In recent hours, in a joint and coordinated operation conducted by the National Navy, the National Army Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the Technical Investigation Corps -CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to capture alias “Culo lindo” or “Chapola”, head of a terrorism Support Network that commits crimes in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo and neighboring villages in the department of Putumayo.
The monitoring and exchange of intelligence information of members of the National Navy, led the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the National Army to made the capture in the municipality of Florencia, in Caquetá, of alias 'Culo Lindo' or 'Chapola', who was the chief of a terrorism Support Network of the Residual Organized Armed Group of the Front 62, in charge of leading the criminal activity by collecting the money obtained from extortions made against the merchants of the region and financing the criminal activities of this structure in the department of Putumayo.
The individual was put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office, in the municipality of Puerto Asís, Putumayo, for the crime of extortion and conspiracy to commit a crime. With the capture of this individual it was possible to destabilize the finances of this organization and stop its criminal operations.
