The Army, the National Navy and the Colombian Air Force, with aircrafts and intelligence information generated by the Air Combat Command No. 5, found 15 firearms and captured around 70 people; 23 were identified as members of the GAO Clan del Golfo and two more from residual armed groups.
On the other hand, troops of the Military and Police Campaign Titan, deployed throughout the department of Chocó, could in recent hours capture alias “Panelo”, a ringleader of the GAO Clan del Golfo who committed crimes in the Colombian Pacific.
Similarly, in the Coquitos sector of the Nueva Colonia locality in the municipality of Turbo, in the Urabá sub-region of the department of Antioquia, with the support of the Attorney General's Office, two illegal hideouts belonging to the GAO Clan del Golfo were found by troops. They found 587 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
