This delinquent, become ringleader after the capture of alias "Cholo" by the National Navy, the last month of September, in the general area of Magüipi, in Buenaventura, when it was transported in a boat without a name and without registration together with two other individuals.
After two months of follow-up, alias 'Morro', leader of robberies in the sea, was captured when he was chatting with other individuals, in the neighborhood La Cima, of the commune six, in the alternate road towards the port of Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca.
According to his criminal record, alias 'Morro' began to commit crime when he was young and he has been part of different criminal groups in Buenaventura. Since 2014, he had been perpetrating criminal operations related to theft at sea and extortion in the insular area of the municipality of Buenaventura and La Bocana sector in Valle del Cauca, as well as in Charambirá, in the municipality of Docordó in in the department of Chocó.
His criminal actions led him to become the second in command of the group of robberies at the sea, under the criminal direction of alias 'Cholo', who was captured last September.
During the last two months, as head of the group of robberies in the sea, he assumed the criminal control of the illegal traffic and distribution of fishing and marine products. In the same way, he committed crimes with the organized crime groups of Buenaventura, to maintain control of the trafficking routes of marijuana towards Chile and cocaine towards Panama and Mexico, under the direction of alias "Cantil".
During 2018, apparently he would have carried out 20 robberies with different modalities; just three were reported.
The Task Force 'Litoral' was created by the Naval Force of the Pacific in 2017 to frontally attack the different criminal groups that have wanted to affect the transit of coastal and passenger vessels, during 2017 and 2018, it has recovered about 13 stolen boats, more than 15 outboard motors and more than 50 tons of cargo and fishing. In the same way, it was possible to capture in 2017 six members of the criminal groups which perpetrate this crime, among them there are alias 'Cantil', 'Nicanor' and 'Larry', who were put in jail; in 2018, eight criminals for this same crime have been captured.
