Among those captured there is alias El Concejal, former public official of the municipality of Puerto Lopez, who would be financing this criminal group.
As a result of the continuous military operations carried out by military members of the National Army, in coordination with the National Police, it was possible to apprehend by court order eight individuals who would be members of the Organized Criminal group (GDO) Puntilleros Bloque Meta.
The operations were carried out in municipalities of Villavicencio and Cabuyaro, in the departments of Meta, and Ch铆a, Cundinamarca, where units of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) the National Police Dijin (Criminal Investigations Group) arrived.
Among those captured were alias El Concejal, who was listed as a financier of this group, as well as seven more individuals identified by the authorities with the aliases of Navarrete, Paisa, Panadero, Victor, Carolina, Zarco and Luis, who would be part of the hired killer network.
These people are accused of multiple murders in the form hired-killing in Villavicencio, including the murder of three people on January 27, 2018, in an attack on a well-known social leader of an association of displaced persons. Likewise, they would be involved in the murder of a social leader in the village of Pachaquiaro, Meta, which occurred on December 1, 2018, and another one in the neighborhood of Villas del Alcarav谩n, in Villavicencio, which occurred on December 11, 2018.
At the time of the captures, a fragmentation grenade, 19 cartridges of different calibers and four communication equipment devices were seized. Those arrested must answer for the crimes of aggravated conspiracy, aggravated homicide and trafficking, manufacture and carrying of firearms
The capture of these individuals was possible thanks to intelligence work carried out for another two years by investigators of the National Police Dijin, with the support of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), which decreases the criminal activity of this criminal group.
