The National Army in the framework of Operation Artemisa, through the Thirteen Brigade, commemorates World Environment Day with a planting of 1,000 trees in Bogotá, Cundinamarca.
World Environment Day has as its premise the restoration of ecosystems, being one of the strategic lines and operations of the Environmental Bubble plan of the Thirteen Brigade.
The restoration of the environment includes mitigating, reducing and reversing the damage to natural habitats, produced by the indiscriminate hand of man and even by the same changes of the environment, thus returning the initial and original dynamics to the ecosystems.
In the municipality of Mochuelo Bajo, in the municipality of Ciudad Bolívar, in Bogotá, a great activity was carried out in commemoration of this date, with the planting of 1,000 units of native trees in a sector, with the support of the Military Police Battalion No.13 General Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera, together with the National Association of Brick Manufacturers-Anafalco.
Two years ago the recovery of these lands had been made; for which it should be noted that this point of the city has been considered as one of the areas with more green coverage to carry out environmental restoration work.
