In order to consolidate alliances with countries of the region and strengthen cooperation models that lead the exchange of knowledge and promote mutual collaboration by the countries, in various areas of training and instruction, a delegation of Officers of the Superior War College of the Peruvian Air Force made a geostrategic visit to air units and institutions of the defense sector.
The High-level officers of the High Command program of the PAM on their arrival in the country began their visit at the Military Transport Air Command-CATAM, where they received information about the resources of the Air Force, in charge of the Air and Space Operations Command and about the academic services by the Aeronautical and Space Education Headquarters. In the same way, they interacted with personnel of the Space Medicine Directorate (DIMAE), through a tour by the laboratories, where they had the opportunity to learn about medical topics in flight physiognomy, evaluation of psychophysical aptitudes, competencies and skills for flight personnel.
They in the same way visited the Sub-Directorate of Aerospace Intelligence (SUINA), where they were shown the works and products that, by taking images and analyzing them, contribute to the care of the critical construction of the country and are support for the care of the environment and natural resources.
During the scheduled activities, they visited the facilities of the Colombian Aeronautical Industry Corporation (CIAC), where the delegation shared knowledge about technological projects and innovation, scheduled maintenance plans, aircraft development and production and the services of services, having the opportunity to share experiences about best practices and delve into issues related to the common challenges existing in the aeronautical industry.
The delegation participated in the presentations given at the Postgraduate School of the Colombian Air Force (EPFAC) and the Superior War College (ESDEGUE), on the models of academic training in higher and postgraduate education, where leaders and commanders are trained at the strategic level for the fulfillment of the mission at the service of the country.
The visit culminated with a visit to the Air Combat Command No.2 (CACOM-2) in Apiay, Department of the Meta, where a tour was carried out to know the resources and the missions that this military operations unit conducts for the protection, defense and security of the nation.
The projection of these visits promotes new initiatives in an environment of strategic relationship that positions the Institution, as a preferred reference in the region, promoting human talent, and its training, in favor of strengthening democracy, sovereignty and resources for the control of airspace and air operations.
