This Valluno by birth and lover of sports conquered yesterday the bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling, category 130 kilograms.
Corporal Cristian Bravo, born in Palmira, Valle del Cauca, dressed the National Army in glory, winning the bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling, category 130 kilograms, at the XIX Bolivarian Games 2022 that take place in Valledupar, Cesar.
This 25-year-old young man, a non-commissioned officer of the institution, started his sports life in his beloved Cali, when he was still at school. There he began his training process in Greco-Roman wrestling, being part of the Valle Wrestling Team; finally, that love he felt for this discipline joined his dream of being a military man.
Cristian decided after finishing his high school studies, to serve his military service in the Support and Services Battalion for Combat No.3, in Cali, and later he entered the Military School of Non-Commissioned Officers Sergeant Inocencio Chincá, being part of the course 97 (2015), then he went to the Instruction, Training and Recurrent training Battalion No.4, in Puerto Berrío, Antioquia.
This non-commissioned officer continued with his training in this discipline, dividing his time in his practices and also giving instruction classes in military techniques to soldiers. After a year, he was taken to the Colombian Military Sports Federation, where he began to won triumphs for Colombia and the National Army, competing in national and international games.
Corporal Cristian Bravo has participated in several championships held in Cuba, Russia and Panama, where he got fourth and fifth places, he has in the same way obtained recognition for his key techniques and projections used to win competitions.
This Army non-commissioned officer, who changes his sportswear for his pixelated uniform, to provide security to Colombians, will continue to serve with vocation and love for the homeland, and his beloved Army. In the same way, he will continue to conduct his training in the Greco-Roman wrestling that will lead him to obtain more triumphs for Colombia and the institution.
