The Colombian Navy, in various joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operations with the Colombian Army, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, in the departments of Vichada and Meta, arrested five members of criminal structures that had profits from drug trafficking and found supplies for drug production.
In the first operation, during a raid on a house in the city of Villavicencio in Meta, it was possible to arrest two alleged members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, who had in their possession two firearms, 20 grams of cocaine hydrochloride and telecommunications equipment.
In the same way, thanks to investigations carried out by the National Police, Colombian Navy troops and the Army, they arrest in a park in the municipality of Puerto Carre帽o, Vichada, three individuals for the crimes of carrying, trafficking and manufacturing of narcotics, since they are responsible for the distribution of hallucinogenic substances in parks and social centers.
On the other hand, in the municipality of Nueva Antioquia, Vichada, in river control and surveillance operations carried out by the Colombian Navy, the finding of 840 gallons of gasoline-type fuel that were transported in a mail boat was achieved. The crew of the boat did not have the relevant documentation for the transport of this precursor, which is presumed to be used in the production of illicit substances.
The arrested men and the material found were put into custody of the authorities, contributing to the weakening of these structures that harm legal activities and do not allow the social development of the communities of eastern Colombia.
