In the framework of joint operations conducted by the Colombian Air Force, Colombian National Army and the Colombian Navy, a powerful blow was dealt to the illicit activities of the Organized Armed Groups in the villages of La Danta, Puerto Bello and La Ancura, in the municipality of Puerto As铆s, as well as in the village Bajo Numi帽a in Puerto Guzm谩n, Putumayo, six rustic laboratories destined to the production of coca base paste were destroyed.
Within the framework of this operation, it was possible to find and destroy 1139 gallons of coca base paste in process, 520 gallons of pure gasoline, 11 gallons of sulfuric acid, 60 gallons of DIESEL and 2 gallons of fertilizer, 1520 kilograms of chopped coca leaf, 175 kilograms of lime and 152 kilograms of Nutrimon, among other elements used in the production of narcotics.
The destruction of these laboratories represents an impact for the drug trafficking networks, since it limits their military operations capacity and hits their production flow, significantly weakening their logistical structure in the region, in order to reduce not only drug trafficking in the illicit market, but in the same way the financing of criminal and violent activities that put the security of local inhabitants at risk, all this thanks to the military operations resources of the N.6 Air Combat Command.
These operations are a sign of the Air Force's constant commitment in the fight against drug trafficking, in fulfillment of the constitutional mission, ensuring that illicit activities are attacked at their source, dismantling their structures and damaging the stability of criminal groups that seek to profit from drug trafficking.
