800 kilograms of cocaine were found by troops in two illegal hiding places in the municipality of Bocatocino, Atlántico.
In development of an operation of the Colombian Navy jointly with troops of the National Army and coordinated with the Technical Investigation – CTI of the Attorney General's Office, obtained the finding of more than 800 kilograms of cocaine was made in the municipality of Juan de Acosta, Atlántico.
The result took place when crew members of the Caribbean Naval Special Forces Group, with the support of troops of the National Army, the Caribbean Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and in coordination with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), discovered two illegal hiding places that were used for the storage of illicit substances in this Atlantic region.
With the support of the coast Guard Station of Cartagena, troops found buried 27 sacks with 818 packages, which were transported to the facilities of the Unit of Immediate Reaction -URI - of Canapote in Cartagena; these substances turn out to be positive for 800 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
During the operation, an individual who was guarding the premises of one of the hiding places was arrested. The material and man were put into custody of the authorities.
With this result, Colombian Navy prevented the distribution of two million doses of cocaine on the streets of the world and prevented the entry of approximately 27 million dollars to the finances of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo that commits crimes in this region.
