The Colombian Air Force, in coordination with the Centro Nacional de Recuperación de Personal (National Center for Personnel Recovery) -CNRP-, still supporting residents living in remote areas of the territory. On this occasion, they carried out the aeromedical transfer of a 22-month-old baby, native of the Acayaca Indigenous community, who presented a rifle shot wound caused, apparently, accidentally.
This transfer was carried out from Mitú (Vaupés), where the baby and his father were waiting for the medical aircraft King 350 of the Military Air Transport Command (CATAM) to transfer him to Bogotá. During the flight, the baby was assisted by the medical team, which was responsible for keeping him stable.
The aircraft used for this transfer had all the necessary instruments to ensure the health of the child during the flight, complying with biosecurity protocols.
The Air Force still working for Colombian people reaching anywhere in the country to provide the necessary help and provide medical assistance to those who need it.
