During a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operation conducted by the Colombian Navy, the National Army, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to arrest alias Perro 1 and bring to justice alias Jiner, alleged members of the Organized Armed Group residual Estructura 6 Columna M贸vil Jaime Mart铆nez. In the same way, it was possible to find war material, military accessories and medicines in the sector known as Coquito, in the rural area of Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca.
According to intelligence information, alias Perro 1, who was arrested at a checkpoint, had been within the criminal structure for a year and would be in charge of collecting drugs, receiving money from extortion and drug trafficking, as well as receiving and distributing war material to Farc dissidents who commit crimes in the area of the Cajambre River, in Valle del Cauca.
Subsequently, sustained territorial control operations led alias Jiner to voluntarily surrender to to Navy troops. This individual expressed his intentions of wanting to rejoin society and start a new life with his family and the support of the Humanitarian Assistance Group to the Demobilized.
Alias Jiner, who would be in charge of the logistics activities for the criminal operations in the rural area of Buenaventura, hander over two 9mm pistols, a 38mm revolver, five 12-caliber shotguns, 125 cartridges of different calibers, three magazines, three radios, two radio antennas, three backpacks, three vests, four complete camouflage uniforms and several medicines.
Weapons, ammunition, communication equipment, military equipment, medicines and personnel were put into custody of the authorities.
