In compliance with the Tumaco Seguro campaign, in a joint and coordinated operation between units of the Navy of Colombia, attached to the Hercules Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Force and the National Police, alias Cholomalo, allegedly member of the support network of the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Alfonso Cano Western Bloc was arrested; he is one of the most wanted criminals in the department of Nariño.
The arrest of alias Cholomalo was reported in the María Auxiliadora neighborhood of Tumaco, in compliance with the arrest order issued by the first municipal judge of Pasto.
Alias Cholomalo is accused of coordinating the execution of targeted killings in the frame of extortions and kidnappings of traders in this area of the country; he had an arrest warrant in force for the crimes of homicide, Association to commit aggravated crimes and illegal carrying of firearms. In addition, he is linked to three investigation processes for the crimes of manufacture, trafficking and carrying of weapons, ammunition of restricted use and trafficking, manufacture or carrying of narcotic drugs.
The individual was put into custody of the authority for his respective prosecution.
