A member of the Residual Organized Armed Group substructure 39 (GAO-r SE 39), presumably alias Miguel or Mochilas, in a rural area of Mapiripán, Meta, was arrested in a coordinated effort conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the National Police and inter-institutional with the Attorney General's Office. In the same way, a Glock pistol, a magazine and 41 9mm caliber cartridges were found by troops.
The detainee appears in intimidating videos made by this criminal structure with the purpose of generating the payment of monetary extortions by his victims, carrying long-range weapons, garments for exclusive use of the Military Forces and logos characteristic of the GAO-r central general staff.
Alias Miguel or Mochilas is part of the security of alias Iíder Mejía, the main ringleader of the GAO-r SE-39, he in the same way actively participated in carrying out kidnappings and is classified by the other members as one of the belligerents of the structure.
This residual group was responsible for terrorist operations, targeted killings, kidnappings and extortions in the departments of Meta and Casanare. In the same way, the incineration of a cargo vehicle on the road that leads from Puerto Gaitán to the municipality of Mapiripán in the department of Meta. In the same way, is would have the participation in the homicide of Yeison Beltrán Garay, on September 05, 2022 and the kidnapping of Mr. José Giraldo Beaumont, on March 05, 2023.
