The Joint Stabilization and Consolidation Task Force Hercules, in military operations conducted by the National Army, in coordination with the National Police, it was possible to harm in a decisive way the Organized Armed Groups, which commit crimes in the Pacific Nariño, with the arrest of five members and the finding of war material.
In the first operation, troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No.2 in a work of intelligence by the Sijin (judicial Police) Tumaco and after several days of intelligence, arrest alias Cabezón, who allegedly participated in the killing of the patrol officer Diego Moreno, murdered and incinerated in August of 2021 by members of Organised Armed Group residual, GAO-r, Oliver Sinisterra, this individual had three warrants of arrest against him for the crimes of conspiracy to commit crimes of aggravated homicide, trafficking and possession of firearms. In the same way, it was possible to arrest two individuals in flagrante delicto, belonging to the residual GAO Urías Rondón.
In the second military operation, troops of the Pegaso Operational Command after patrol work in the municipality of Olaya Herrera, Nariño, arrested two individuals belonging to the residual GAO Franco Benavides.
During the operations, two pistols, two revolvers, ammunition and eight million pesos in cash, money from drug trafficking, were found by troops. The materials and the arrested were put into custody of the authorities for their respective prosecution.
Once more the Joint Task Force Hercules, in coordination with the National Police, and other institutions, reiterate their commitment to continue working in a coordinated manner in order to weaken Organized Armed Groups who commit crimes in this important region of the country.
