The incident occurred in the San Jos茅 de Bajial neighborhood, in the municipality of San Calixto, in the department of Norte de Santander, where a 22-year-old man, who was traveling by one of the roads to his house, stepped on an antipersonnel mine planted, apparently by the Organized Armed Group, GAO - ELN, Comandante Diego Structure.
The troops immediately sent the combat nurse soldiers, who under all protocols and strict security measures gave him first aid, stabilizing him and transferring him to the nearest medical center, where his life was saved.
At the same time, the EXDE Explosives and Demolition Specialized Group is in the sector carrying out land review operations, in order to confirm or rule out the existence of more explosive devices that may hit civilians.
Events such as these confirm once again the terrorist and criminal operations of this group outlaw, which attacks the lives of peasants in this part of the country by violations of human rights and infractions of international humanitarian law.
