For five days in the frame of this emergency troops have removed 168 tons of mud and debris, an operation that in the same way led to the finding of two lifeless bodies.
In a joint work with relief agencies, the National Army, through its Military Engineers, supports the municipality of Laureles, in the municipality of Santa Fe de Antioquia, after the quake that triggered a landslide that has left several people beaten and destroyed houses.
The Brigade of Engineers of Assistance and Prevention of Disasters has provided its Resources with canine, remotely manned aircraft and soldiers specialists in search and rescue to find the people who are missing.
Thanks to the operation carried out by these military rescuers and the community, it was possible to recover two lifeless bodies; three people have been reported missing during the avalanche.
So far, the removal of 168 tons of mud and debris has been carried out, in addition, work is increasing to find the other person who is still missing.
