Bogotá. Multi mission Heroes of the Military Police Battalion Nº15, Bacatá, of the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army in a joint effort with the National Police, the local mayor of the sector Barrios Unidos, the Personería, the Secretariat of Social Integration, among other district authorities, conducted an operation of security and assistance directed to a group of homeless, who received assistance in specialized centers.
This initiative that took place in the locality of Barrios Unidos in the northwest of Bogotá, led not only to the relocation of homeless people in temporary homes and provide them with a better quality of life, but also to find knives, drugs and dismantle seven “cambuches” (rudimentary tents); in order to recover the green areas, the public space of the sector and restore access to commercial places.
