Thanks to this initiative, small merchants signed 17 agreements by 26,408,126 pesos and marketed products such as: double cream cheese, eggs, banana, panela (sweet from sugar cane), pumpkin, beef and pineapple.
The communitarian development group of the Fe en Colombia program, the Comprehensive Action Battalion No.4 and the Twenty-Second Jungle Brigade of the National Army, supported the first meeting of buyers and producers with the national strategy of local purchases led by the Administrative Unit Special of Solidarity Organizations of the Ministry of Labor. This activity consisted of uniting public and private companies with local producers to eliminate intermediaries and benefit the economy of the region.
In the same way, this important meeting counted on the presence of the Rural Development Agency (ADR), SENA (national learning service), ICBF (Colombian institute for family wellbeing), the Chamber of Commerce of San José del Guaviare, FAO, National Comprehensive Program for Plantations Replacement (PNIS), among others, and 12 producers which mostly depend economically on the agricultural sector.
It should be noted that the first producer to be part of these commercial alliances was Margarita Cendales, manufacturer of double cream cheese, which managed to close four agreements for more than 10 million pesos with private companies interested in her product. It is important to highlight that this entrepreneur from Guaviare is an inhabitant of the San Francisco village, a community with which we are working on the campaign Mi Vereda Modelo of the Faith in Colombia program.
