Troops of the Fourth Brigade, working in coordination with the Police and the Attorney General's Office, are fighting against individuals who allegedly belong to the Luis Hernando Rozo Bertel, a substructure of the Clan del Golfo.
Soldiers of the Field Artillery Battalion N.4, of the Fourth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Sijin (Judicial Police) of the National Police and the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General's Office, on the morning of June 13, are fighting against members of the Luis Hernando Rozo Bertel substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the rural area of the municipality of San Andr茅s de Cuerquia, in Antioquia.
These combats take place after the continuous military operations that are being carried out in the north of the department of Antioquia, where several judicial procedures were being carried out against that criminal substructure, the events take place especially in the village of Monta帽a Adentro, in the municipality of San Andr茅s de Cuerquia, it is there where soldiers and officials are received with rifle shots, where they respond using combat maneuvers and military techniques.
At the end of the military operations, troops registered the death in the framework of military operations of an individual, and the arrest of 2 more members of that substructure, in the same way troops found war materials and military accessories such as: a 5.56 caliber Galil rifle, two 9 mm caliber pistols, a 16 caliber shotgun, a 38 caliber revolver, a traumatic pistol, five metal magazines for 5.56 rifle, two magazines for 9mm pistol, ammunition of various calibers, communications material, military accessories material, 499 doses of narcotics and material of value for military intelligence.
This result is achieved in compliance with the strategic line: weaken the resources of the threat, included in the Ayacucho Operations Plan and the Defense and Citizen Coexistence Policy of the Ministry of National Defense. The troops of Colombian National Army in coordination with the National Police and the Attorney General's Office will continue to carry out decisive operations to counteract the operations that intend to hit the inhabitants and property of the State.
