8,000 soldiers in military control operations and more than 1,000 specifically at road checkpoints, works to increase the security of travelers who transit this week on the roads of the department of Cundinamarca.
During this week of school recess, which turns into a short holiday season for Colombians, the soldiers of the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army, within the framework of the campaign Viaje Seguro su Ej茅rcito est谩 en la V铆a (travel Confident, your Army is on the Road), will be conducted in a wide operation that will cover the main roads of Cundinamarca and the entrances and exits of Bogot谩.
The 116 municipalities of Cundinamarca are almost entirely tourist destinations for the capital and even visitors from other regions of the country, so the coordinated work of the authorities is not focused only on the roads, but in the same way on providing general safety conditions throughout the department.
However, with the main intention of working to improve the tranquility and of course the mobility of travelers, our men and women will be carrying out military control tasks on the main roads, to prevent any irregular situation, in a joint and coordinated work with the National Police and municipal authorities, through 34 checkpoints, in which our soldiers of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Cundinamarca will in the same way distribute the message of the campaign I do not pay, I denounce, to prevent the problem of kidnapping and extortion or any crime that may hit citizens in these days.
It is important to remind citizens that it is the rainy season, which implies taking greater preventive measures when transporting and checking the condition of the roads that are part of the route they are going to use.
The National Army in the same way invites citizens to report any emergency or irregular situation through the toll-free lines #767 and 147 of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group).
