In the military operation, alias Diomedes or Carlos, the fourth ringleader of the armed structure, died
Thanks to military intelligence information, soldiers of the Seventh Division of the Army, jointly, coordinated and inter-institutional with the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, found a house in a rural area of the municipality of Guadalupe, north of Antioquia, where a group of alleged members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure 36, manufactured explosives.
At the place where the factory was operating, 10 40-pounds kilo gas cylinders armed with detonators and ready for use, 10 cut-out gas cylinders filled with explosive material, 25 packages of explosives, a sack of explosive substance, 33 five-liter gallons, apparently, with primed explosives and ready for use, were found by troops. A rifle, a shotgun, three pistols, more than 330 cartridges of different calibers, ammunition, military accessories and communication equipment were in the same way seized.
Four alleged dissidents were neutralized
In the same operation, the threat of alias Diomedes or Carlos, alleged fourth ringleader of the residual GAO, structure 36, was neutralized. Another individual, alias Andr茅s, resulted wounded and was taken to a hospital in the municipality of Yarumal, where he underwent emergency surgery, guarded by the authorities to later legalize his arrest. In addition, two minors were recovered and handed over to the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing.
According to the investigations, alias Diomedes or Carlos had a criminal record of five years in the residual GAO, Structure 36, where he served as a guerrilla, explosives expert and ringleader of the Yesid Guevara company. The individual would be responsible for installing explosive devices to attack the Military Forces, coordinating selective homicides and perpetrating terrorist operations in the municipalities of northern Antioquia.
