The alkaloid would cost approximately 58 million pesos, an important figure that now hits the illicit economies of this outlaw organization.
Through territorial control operations, framed in the Bicentenary campaign – plan Heroes de Libertad, troops belonging to the Vulcano Task Force, achieve in the rural area of Tibú, in the department of Norte de Santander, the capture in flagrante delicto of three presumed members of the Organized Armed Group GAO - Eln, front 'Héctor', who had in their possession 19 kilos of coca base paste.
The captures of these individuals were carried out in the road Pacheli-Versalles, of the municipality of Tibú. In a control checkpoint made by the Special Energy and Road Battalion No.6. In this road axis, the soldiers carried out the inspection of the vehicle where they found that 19 kilos of coca paste were transported: thus drug would be valued at approximately 58 million pesos.
Through intelligence work it was established that these people allegedly would be part of GAO-Eln, in front of 'Héctor'. In this criminal organization they were apparently in charge of carrying out the transport and commercialization of illicit substances by different sectors of El Catatumbo region.
The individuals were taken to Cúcuta, in the department of Norte de Santander, and put into custody of the authorities, where they were charged with the crime of trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotic substances.
