This activity would be the seventh carried out during the last three years in Guaviare; on this occasion vaccination services against COVID - 19 and child vaccination were provided.
The soldiers of the National Army arrived at the Las Acacias School in San José del Guaviare, Guaviare, through the Twenty-Second Brigade and the Support Battalion of Comprehensive Action and Development No.4, in coordination with the mayor's office, the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute-ICBF, Gamma Laboratories and the Creciendo Juntos por el Guaviare foundation, among others, in order to provide well-being through a development support activity.
In this activity, about 400 people benefited, who received services of general medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, psychology, nutrition, physiotherapy, vaccination, hairdressing and beauty services, covering their basic needs, thus contributing to the progress of the region.
At the same time, the soldiers of Comprehensive Action carried out recreational, and cultural activities, with games, dynamic activities, dance and balloon twisting, promoting spaces of healthy recreation and fun in children, youth and adults.
ICBF in the same way, provided information on the pregnant and lactating mothers programme and provided Bienestarina (food supplement) and vitamin supplements to these people.
“It is a very important campaign because for this community it is very difficult that they have access to this type of medical services, where professionals donated their day of work to provide this service,” said Juan Carlos Alonso, representing the Organization Creciendo Juntos (Growing Together) for Guaviare.
