These four individuals would be part of the Edwin Rom谩n Vel谩squez Valle Substructure of this organized armed group.
In the Ayacucho Plan, National Army troops, in coordination with the police, arrested four alleged members of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the municipalities of Uramita, Sopetr谩n and San Jer贸nimo, in the west of Antioquia.
Among those arrested is alias Mulo, who had a valid arrest warrant for the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes, and who had been in that illegal armed organization for 13 years. This individual would have participated in the attack against the Military Forces on the last July 4, 2022, where the police officer Wilmer Jos茅 Genes Hoyos was killed, and two other police officers were wounded, in the municipality of Uramita, Antioquia.
In another operation, alias Guason was arrested. He had an arrest warrant for the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes. He was a ringleader of sectors and coordinator of money obtained from extortion in the municipality of Sopetr谩n.
In the same way, alias Satan and alias Tripas, who had an arrest warrant for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing and carrying narcotics were arrested in the Poleal village, in the municipality of San Jer贸nimo.
At the time of the arrest, the two individuals were carrying a pistol, a magazine, 20 cartridges, two cell phone equipment and two communication radios.
According to intelligence information, alias Satan would be the bodyguard of alias Orejas or El Grande, urban ringleader of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the municipality of San Jer贸nimo. Alias Tripas would be the head of sectors in that region.
All those arrested were put into custody of the authorities for the respective prosecution process.
