After several raids in the municipality of Acacías, the Military Forces arrested 11 alleged members of the criminal organization Los del Hueco, specialized in microtrafficking. Most of the detainees are foreigners.
Colombian National Army, in a major operation, managed to dismantle in Acacías, Meta, an organized crime group that had in those members 80% of the control of the illegal business of selling narcotics.
These individuals would be at the service of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo. The 20th General Serviez Infantry Battalion, the 4th Urban Special Forces Battalion and the 6th Light Group of Cabellería participated in this operation, supported by the National Police and the Attorney General's Office.
The gang called itself Los del Hueco, and its main ringleader was alias Mexicanito, who is among those arrested. The criminal organization provided illicit drugs in a door to door service, making use of social networks such as Facebook and WhatsApp. It in the same way sold them in bars and nightclubs in the municipality. All this generated juicy incomes in money to criminals.
Alias Mexicanito presents 18 entries is his criminal record as an indicted in crimes ranging from fraud, extortion, personal injury to violent sexual act. As the ringleader of the group, he coordinated and organized several foreign citizens to intimidate and take control of the sale of narcotics in the area.
Among the items found are a vehicle, a motorcycle, cell phones and several doses of coca. The 11 arrested will have to face charges of association to commit aggravated crimes; carrying, trafficking and manufacturing of narcotics and illicit use of communication networks.
