Through a coordinated checkpoint conducted by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Caquetá of the National Army and the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Police, a man and a woman were arrested in flagrante delicto transporting cocaine inside a van.
Through coordinated operations conducted by the Army and the Police, in compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Héroes de la Libertad and thanks to intelligence work carried out by agents of the Military Forces, it was possible to arrest two people in flagrante delicto for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics, in Rio Negro in the municipality of Puerto Rico, Caquetá.
The arrested persons were traveling in a van, which, when verified and inspected by an antinarcotics canine binomial, turned out to be suspicious to begin the corresponding procedure for the legalization of the arrests and taking of samples and collection of evidence. Then, it was possible to establish that in the body of the vehicle they were transporting five packages with 55,85 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, which would be further marketed in drug trafficking in the region.
Product of the constant monitoring conducted by specialists in military intelligence and police, the individual arrested, apparently, were part of the support network for the finance group of the residual Organized Armed Group,GAO-r, Structure Miller Perdomo, directed by the individual Faiver Antonio Ramírez Mota, aka Richard or Darwin, commander of the structure, being the main responsible of receiving money from drug trafficking and extortion carried out against inhabitants of the municipalities of the Montañita, El Doncello and Cartagena del Chairá.
Those arrested were given to the authorities. A judge established that a man be put in a prison for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics in the municipality of San José del Guaviare ; the woman was charged for the same crimes and put in house arrest.
