According to information, this individual took advantage of his condition in reintegration programs to continue committing crimes and extorting businessmen, merchants and inhabitants of the municipality.

Thanks to the articulated work conducted by the Seventh Division of the National Army and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Nation, in the main park of Ituango, north of Department of Antioquia, it was possible to capture alias “Camilo”, a demobilized of the GAO-r front 18 who, despite to enjoy the benefits of the reintegration program, continued to commit crimes.
In a military operation, framed in the “Diamante” Plan, planned by units of the Fourth Brigade and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), the arrest warrant issued by the 150th Specialized Prosecutor's Office against this individual was made effective. He was in charge of extorting merchants, contractors of the HidroItuango hydroelectric project and residents of the region.
It is important to note that this result means a strategic blow against the organized armed groups in the north of the department of Antioquia, because he was responsible for the death threats recently received by the mayor of Ituango, the parish priest and other inhabitants of the municipality.
Alias 'Camilo', 28, was a member of the GAO-r (Frente 18) and before his demobilization he was a person in charge in the hideouts of the structure.
This dangerous individual was put into custody of the authorities for his respective judicial process and must answer for the crimes of aggravated homicide, aggravated conspiracy, manufacture and carrying of firearms and aggravated extortion.
