With military operations of the Army, it was possible the surrender to justice of seven alleged members of the GAO Clan del Golfo and the voluntary submission of two members of the ELN in the west of the country.
These individuals, whose lives were protected by our soldiers, complying with the institutional policies of respect for human rights and compliance with the norms of international humanitarian law, apparently belonged to the Pablo Jos茅 Cuitava Substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the Quiparad贸 village, municipality of Riosucio, and in the municipality of Bojay谩, in the department of Choc贸.
With these renditions to justice, there are already 80 people this year who decided to surrender their weapons, due to the operational decisiveness of the troops whose premise is respect for the life and good physical condition of those who decide to have a better future under the constitutional norms, as well as for the intense surrender to justice campaigns established in Decree 965 of 2020, carried out on media such as the National Army radio station.
On the other hand, two individuals who claimed to belong to the N茅stor Tulio Dur谩n company, of the ELN, made the voluntary submission to the troops in an area adjacent to the Indigenous people of Chan煤, municipality of Bojay谩, in the department of Choc贸. During this year, 21 members of the ELN have surrendered voluntarily.
