At the time of the arrest, this man was protected by the UNP.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, in a joint and inter-institutional military operation carried out with the objective of countering crime in the department of Meta, troops of the Colombian National Army and the Navy with officials of the Attorney General's Office, arrested an individual who apparently is part of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The arrest of this man was carried out in a Shopping Center in Villavicencio, Meta department, for the crime of extortion.
This individual had security provided by the National Protection Unit (UNP), at the time of being arrested in flagrante delicto, he was with a UNP agent, who was taken to the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) in order to carry out the review of permits for the respective carrying of weapons.
The arrested person was put into custody of the authority to conduct urgent acts.
