In an inter-institutional operation with the Technical Investigation Staff of the Attorney General's Office, the Colombian Navy arrested Jhormen Jesús Mosquera Quinto, alias Jhormen, in the urban area of Turbo, in the department of Antioquia.
The operation was carried out by units of the Naval Institution in compliance with an arrest warrant for extradition purposes issued by the District Court of the Eastern District of Missouri in the United States, on charges related to drug trafficking.
Alias Jhormen allegedly belonged to an Organized Gang at the service of the GAO Clan del Golfo and was engaged in the financing, collection and transportation of narcotics from the Gulf of Urabá and the coasts of the departments of Córdoba and Sucre, sending tons of cocaine destined for Central America, Europe and the United States.
With this arrest it was possible to destabilize Organized Criminal Groups and their sources of financing, weakening their logistics chain, thus countering the crimes that are carried out in the territory, contributing to the security and tranquility of Colombians.
