According to intelligence information, alias Gerardo would be in charge of transporting war material and explosives in the rural areas of Tibú - Department of Norte de Santander.
This man was arrested in flagrante delicto when he was traveling through the Petroleum sector carrying war materiel.
Within the framework of military operations, soldiers of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Police, arrest in flagrante delicto alias Gerardo, alleged members of the organized armed group ELN, on the Cúcuta-Tibú route, Department of Norte de Santander.
The soldiers were on the road axis, and when conducting the search of an individual who was traveling on a motorcycle, they sow that he was carrying a pistol, magazines, cartridges and more than 3000 elements used for the manufacture and activation of explosive devices.
According to intelligence information, alias Gerardo would be in charge of transporting war material and explosives in the rural areas of the municipality of Tibú, in the same way, to carry out criminal intelligence on the soldiers who are providing security in these areas of the department.
The arrested man and the material found were put into custody of the authority for their respective prosecution.
