After carrying out a permanent accompaniment at the Unified Command Post, (PMU), in the Las Malocas Park, with a large security operation, the Colombian Air Force joined the initiatives conducted to strengthen the surveillance operations carried out jointly and coordinated by the Military Forces during the movements made by locals and tourists who concentrated in the capital llanera city to participate in the No.54 Joropo International festival.
On the one hand, pilots of the Air Combat Command No.2, guarded the plains skies, with manned, unmanned aircraft and satellite imagery working in real time, to access to information of the roads and high-traffic sectors to maintain the party.
Super Tucano A-29 aircraft, Schweizer, Black Hawk helicopters and Hermes aircraft will constantly fly over the roads of Villavicencio, Granada and Puerto L贸pez, participating in reconnaissance and surveillance missions, accompanying, monitoring and patrolling the roads from the air to monitor the normal development of the different activities and generate an immediate reaction to situations that may alter law and order.
In the same way, the aircrews of aeromedical evacuations were in maximum preparation to provide support for any emergency that put the good physical condition of our compatriots at risk, while, on the ground, our officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers accompanied in the Malocas the about 30 thousand citizens who circulated daily in the place, providing information about the mission carried out by the institution, the different ways of incorporation and making an emotional musical presentation that gained the hearts and applause of the attendees.
These operations were arranged to provide tranquility to the citizens who were transported to enjoy the company of their families and the cultural exhibitions that were projected within the framework of this important event that intensifies municipal and departmental efforts to maintain the economic reactivation in the department of Meta.
