More than 36 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina, transported in the Boeing 767 Jupiter aircraft of the Colombian Air Force in an effort to continue supporting the communities hit by the Hurricane ETA.
With the Ayudar Nos Hace Bien campaign (Helping is Good for Us), led by the First Lady of the nation, María Juliana Ruíz, these food and toilet kits will benefit thousands of families in the island Department, helping to meet the needs of the inhabitants in the difficult situation.
On the other hand, the president of the Republic, Iván Duque Márquez, announced that this is one of the support activities scheduled for the community of the islands under the operation plan that was prepared with the presidency and the departmental government after his visit to the archipelago.
Through the TC Benjamín Méndez Rey air Base of the Colombian Air Force, on the island, this type of operational efforts continue to be carried out to fulfill the constitutional mission and contribute to the ends of the State.
