The C40 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force arrived in San Andrés with more humanitarian aid and materials for the adaptation of the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, of the Departmental Hospital of the Archipelago of San Andrés Islas.
The Colombian Air Force carried out the air transportation of the necessary materials for the installation of the gas network of the new ICU as well as other elements for the Clarence Lynd Newball Memorial Hospital, which are part of the operations led by the Government to prevent the effects of the Coronavirus.
In the same way, non-profit organizations such as the Fundación Colonia Paisa through the program: One thousands of baskets of food, have joined to provide more aid for the islanders and in coordination with the Military Forces, the National Police and departmental authorities . In addition, biosecurity elements arrived for the Colombian Civil Defense officials of the Archipelago.
In this way, the Colombian Air Force continues to contribute with aircraft and crews to guarantee the well-being and health of the island community.
