The Caribbean Air Group through the Department of Comprehensive Action and the base security and Defense Squadron No.105, carry out patrols for the security and sovereignty of the archipelago territory, in addition to spread through loudspeakers and brochures preventive measures for the mitigation of the COVID-19.
These patrols are carried out over the airport area, the pedestrian path Spratt Bight and neighborhoods adjacent to the down municipality sector of the island of San Andrés, where residents and tourists receive messages about biosecurity protocols and norms of citizen behavior in public space for the reduction of contagion established by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
Currently, the departmental hospital has an occupation of 33 percent in intensive care beds because of the Coronavirus, local authorities seek to curb this increase with different measures to control the spread.
In this way, the Colombian Air Force watches over the health of the inhabitants of the island Department, deploying its personnel and carried outing strategies for self-care and social distancing.
